Jay A. Young, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Young is a board certified general surgeon and a board certified Colon & Rectal surgeon who specializes in colon and rectal surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison. He completed his general surgery residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, and his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Schumpert Medical Center-LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Young has practiced Colon & Rectal surgery exclusively in the Knoxville area since 1996.

Dr. Young lives in West Knoxville with his wife and family. They enjoy the outdoors and spend time together hiking, gardening, and landscaping. Favorite travel plans include snow skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling and horseback riding.
